Steps For Seniors info

Seniors who have been isolated throughout the year 2020 are experiencing life as they never have imagined! Join as a community to acknowledge, reassure, and empower them, especially those in Independent Living Facilities. All participants are encouraged to walk in support of someone that may be, or at risk for becoming, depressed.

HOW?

 IN-PERSON Participation - Meet at ETSU and take a refreshing 2 mile walk to Watauga Square Independent Living Facility. Dress warm! Hot beverages will be provided and a congratulatory gift at the conclusion. Participants will gather safely at the ending location and join in a 1 minute wave of acknowledgement. These residents have taken precautionary measures by not receiving any visitors in over 6 months!

VIRTUAL Participation - Join us live on Zoom, accompanied by Dannie Lee, a Certified Fitness Trainer, with a half hour workout routine to get you started! Do you have your own routine? Need to walk the dog? Whatever physical activity you can or want to do - feel encouraged by the unity.
